WHERE TO BEGIN?
If you’re new to Shilajit and are eager to try this incredible substance then you probably noticed how many resellers Google gives us on our first search. While the number itself isn’t something to fret about, the difference in price certainly is. Why exactly does the price vary so much between what seems to be the same product in the same quantity? With that question in mind a lot of people still choose to buy the cheaper version…and in the process save a considerable amount of money. Sure, getting the most bang for your buck is always welcome, but there’s a difference between getting a discount and getting ripped off…or in this case, endangering your health. Food supplement quality should be taken very seriously, so if you want to find out more, read on!
FIRST STEP IS ALWAYS IMPORTANT! WHY?
Well, to get to the bottom of this whole thing, we have to go back to the beginning. By that we mean the process of Shilajit extraction itself and since we already wrote about its origin, there’s no reason to dwell on the details (you’re welcome to read it here). Firstly, Shilajit that secretes through the cracks in the rock is supposed to be collected and immediately cleaned with clean (!!) and warm spring water, where we separate Shilajit from dirt and everything else unwanted. There are a lot of Shilajit providers that don’t use clean water since it means a significant cut down on the cost of Shilajit production. As a result, the finished product is unclean and sometimes even hazardous to your health, since it can contain unwanted heavy metals that can damage your body…but also cheaper.
Getting you the best quality of 100% pure Shilajit can be guaranteed on Mountaindrop since we gladly provide all the necessary certificates that are required to make such a statement. All of our Shilajit is extracted using the purest water without using any chemical compounds and while it may not be the cheapest out there the quality certainly justifies that.
STORING IS JUST AS IMPORTANT
So, we have our Shilajit extracted and waiting to be packed. How we store it and where plays an important part in the overall quality of the final product. Cheap Shilajit will probably come in cheap packaging where it will be subjected to decay much faster. Since you probably won’t empty the whole bottle in two weeks (it’s not advised either), it makes sense to have it safely stored in a quality container.
We use special purple glass containers that give it a much longer life span while protecting Shilajits’s nutritional value. This way it can be stored for a very long time while still being completely healthy and safe for consumption. Beware of plastic containers and cheap regular glass, since it usually means that the product itself was already compromised. And that happens on behalf of the selling price. Shilajit should be taken with the intent of health improvement, so it makes sense to make sure you’re not getting a low-quality product. After all, the price of our health can’t be measured in money.
NEED PROOF? JUST ASK.
If we sum everything up, we can quickly come to two conclusions. Firstly, if there’s Shilajit that’s suspiciously cheap, there’s something wrong there. Some compromises must have been made, so it’s always smart to ask for required certificates that should always gladly be submitted by the seller. Secondly, there are no shortcuts when it comes to our health. Does it make sense to buy the best product and protect what is essential, the only important factor in all of this? Without a doubt. Protect your health, you only have one.
