THE POWER OF SHILAJIT SOAP

As some of you probably noticed, we have a new product in-store. You can check it out here. Of course, we’re talking about our hand-made cold-pressed Shilajit hand soap. The idea of hand soap comes from the fact that numerous healthy ingredients in Shilajit can be very beneficial for your skin, so combining it with oils and such was the only logical step for us.  So, what exactly does make Shilajit soap so good for us? Besides the fact that it washes our hands clean of bacteria (which is currently a hot topic), it can actually do a lot for our hands. Want to know more? Let’s get to it!

Shilajit soap

THE MAIN INGREDIENT

We don’t think Shilajit needs a special introduction, since we’re so familiar with it by now, but let’s go through it for the newcomers. This amazing 100% natural and pure mountain pitch is harvested deep in the Altai mountains where it slowly oozes out of the mountainside. In the long process of its creation, it gets slowly enriched with vitamins, minerals, and much more. If you’re keen on learning more about its creation, we have a blog written about that topic which can be found here.

But the question is, what can it do for your skin?

Well, Shilajit can actually be very good in this scenario. Since Shilajit has many useful properties, its use in cosmetics is well justified. It is part of the creams, masks, and compositions for massage. Using it in the correct way it can help you achieve younger-looking skin, fewer wrinkles and uneven skin tone while helping regulate hormone level and deal with stress, resulting in a much better looking and healthier skin.

But when talking about Shilajit in a strict external usage sense, it can help with firmness and elasticity of the skin. Furthermore, most store-bought soaps (especially the ones of lower quality) can dry out your skin with prolonged usage, more so if you use soap very regularly. Mumie Shilajit soap nourishes your skin and helps it keep smooth and soft after every washing, resulting in much nicer skin. This way, you may realize that you don’t need expensive hand creams to keep your skin as it should be. Of course, this only works if you use high-quality Shilajit…and we used the best one. Because only the best of nature can reach our standards. After all, all of this for our health, and no shortcuts should be taken here.

PERFECTION OF NATURE COMBINED WITH HIGH-QUALITY OILS

If anybody here is wondering how soap is made, let us give you a quick rundown: Handcrafted soaps made from scratch require three ingredients to become soap: oil (animal or vegetable oil, not petroleum-based oil), water, and lye. These three ingredients, mixed together in correct proportions, combine and chemically change into soap – a process called “saponification”. They may include other ingredients to provide additional benefits or to color or scent the soap, but these are not part of the chemical process that results in basic soap.

This is where it gets complicated (sort of). Because we don’t just want regular oil-made soap with Shilajit, we decided to go in a different direction here. Firstly, we decided to enrich our soap with pumpkin oil. The high vitamin, mineral, and omega content makes Pumpkin Seed Oil an excellent lifting oil for dry, mature, and also damaged skin. The oil helps to support the health and structure of the skin, which reduces the appearance of wrinkles and signs of aging.

Secondly, we added castor oil. It’s rich in vitamin E and fatty acids. Its also a moisturizer for the skin and nails. There are even some reports that it may have some anti-inflammatory properties, although it has not been well tested or established. Either way, it brings much need balance to our product.

Lastly, we used ingredients of essential oils and other 100% natural and skin-safe ingredients that help to connect everything together. One of them is Limonene which is a most common terpenes found in nature and may offer several health benefits. It has been shown to possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-stress, and possibly disease-preventing properties.

And what is the end product of all of this?  Something amazing. Our hand-made Shilajit soap is a product of care and devotion to everything natural, once again proving that nature contains all that we need. If you want to try it out it’s available in our web store.
